The community of Aston, Pennsylvania is mourning the tragic loss of 12-year-old Abigail Gillon, who passed away following a devastating accident over the weekend.
Abigail and her friend, 11-year-old Isabella Jones, were struck by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter at the intersection of Lehr Boulevard and Concord Road around 2:18 p.m. on Saturday.
Both girls were immediately transported to Nemours Children’s Hospital in Delaware with life-threatening injuries. While Isabella Jones remains in critical condition as of the latest reports, Abigail Gillon tragically succumbed to her injuries.
Her sudden and heartbreaking passing has left the Aston community reeling, and messages of support and condolences have poured in from neighbors, classmates, and local organizations.
Aston Township Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation. As of now, no charges have been filed, and authorities continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Isabella Jones, who was injured in the same accident, remains hospitalized in critical condition.
